BAGHDAD / NINA / Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has revealed a proposal, has been sent to Kurdistan, stipulates that the mixed areas' residents protect them.
He said in a press conference today 1, December, attended by the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "The agreement, between the central government and Kurdistan region stipulated that the Peshmerga forces and the central government forces protect the mixed areas. But Kurdistan wanted to settle / five / brigades of Peshmerga in these areas, and any military brigades of the central government should not be existed there."
He continued: "This is not possible, because the Constitution guarantees to the central government to protect all areas and there is no provision granting the province the right to move any military units toward areas not included in the province," warning of the presence of Peshmerga forces in mixed areas. / End
