BAGHDAD / NINA / MP, from Kurdistan Alliance, Mohsen al-Sadoun said that the Kurdistan region has the right to form a military force in the Kirkuk province because it is covered by Article 140 of the disputed areas.
He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA /: "under the law of the provincial councils, the internal security should be in the hand of the provinces not in the hands operations leaders of the central government; therefore it is assumed that the side which had adopted the idea should get the Tigris troops away from Kirkuk, because it has a special status and covered by the constitutional article 140."
He explained that: "in the case of non-compliance in coordination with the province of Kirkuk, the Kurdish side has the right to form operations leadership similar to Tigris operations command."
Kurdish reports pointed out that the Kurdistan region is working on the formation of leadership consist of the Ashiys (brave) and the Peshmerga in Kirkuk under the name / Hemrin Operations Command./ End
