BREAKING NEWS Salman Jumaily, Minister of Electricity escape assassination

Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of Iraqiya's Parliamentary bloc, Salman al-Jumaily, and Minister of Electricity, Kareem Aftan, escaped an assassination attempt on Wednesday evening, Aug. 8, in western Baghdad.

Security source told NINA that Jumaily and Aftan were on their way back to Baghdad when an improvised explosive device went off against their motorcade in Abu Ghraib area, but they are not hurt.

The source pointed out that a number of their guardsmen wounded, some in critical conditions. / End.
