Baghdad (NINA) – Parliamentary Ahrar bloc, headed by Baha al-Araji, discussed with the leader of Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, headed by Ammar al-Hakeem, current political situation and means to unite in facing problems in the area.
A statement issued on Monday, Aug. 6, by the Sadrist Trend said that a delegation representing Ahrar Parliamentary bloc, lead by Araji, and consisting of Ameer al-Kanani, Awad al-Awadi, Rafi Abdul Jabar and Mushriq Naji, met with Ammar al-Hakeem.
It added that they have discussed current political situation and developing events in Syria; as well as security situation.
It affirmed the necessity to consolidate the National Alliance and convert it into an institution capable of carrying out its task, not just in Baghdad, but throughout the whole of Iraq. / End.
