Ramadi (NINA) – Finance Minister, Rafi' al-Essawi, arrived in the border town of Qa'im, in Anbar province, to supervise offering aid to Syrian refugees.
Upon arrival, Essawi held a meeting with security officials and the formed committee charged with providing help to Syrian refugees, as well as with some of the province's dignitaries, discussing means to overcome obstacles and improve services provided to Syrian refugees in Iraq.
Essawi said that Syrian refugees are Iraq's guests, calling for exerting all needed efforts to provide them with service and help they need.
Earlier today, lawmaker from Iraqiya slate, Mohammed al-Karbouli, said that he met at noon today with Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, during which a decision made allowing Syrian refugees to move freely within Iraq, outside designated camps, on condition that they have a local guarantor. / End.
