Tikrit (NINA) – Gunmen kidnapped a police officer and killed his wife in an attack on Monday afternoon, July 16, on his house east of Tikrit.
Security source told NINA that gunmen stormed the house of a police officer, at the rank of first lieutenant, south of Tuz-Khormato district, east of Tikrit, opened fire at his wife, who worked as police examiner, killing her instantly and kidnapped the officer at gunpoint, stealing his car and fled.
The source added that police surrounded the area and carried a campaign searching for the officer and his abductors. / End.
