BAGHDAD / NINA / Deputy Prime Minister Saleh al-Mutlaq discussed today, July 15, with the Turkish ambassador in Iraq Younis Demerer, the political, economic and service relations between Baghdad and Ankara.
A statement by Mutlaq's Office said the two sides stressed on " the importance of the friendly understanding atmosphere and dialogue to provide greater opportunities for diplomacy in order to enhance the historical ties between the two neighbors, Iraq and Turkey, and to achieve economic and security integration between the countries of the region as a whole."
Turkish Ambassador, from his side, expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Deputy Prime Minister, praising his efforts to repair the relationship between the Governments of Iraq and Turkey, according to the statement.
He stressed on "the Turkish government's keenness to develop contacts in order to provide greater opportunities for the return of balanced relations between the two sides." / End
