Zebari, Ass. SRSG discusses humanitarian situation in Iraq

Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, discussed with the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Iraq in Development and Humanitarian Affairs, Ms. Jacqueline Badcock, humanitarian situation in Iraq and the the role of the UN organizationa and agencies in helping it, as well as its plans for development.

A statement issued on Thursday, June 28, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Zebari received a copy of Ms. Credentials to work at the UN assistance Mission for Iraq.

Zebari expressed the Ministry's readiness to provide required help to facilitate her humanitarian mission, since Iraq is in need of international expertise and help to improve its services, educational, health and environmental sectors. / End.
