Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Sadrist Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, criticized what he call "double standards" by the government when it rejects foreign intervention and when Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki asking Obama to intervene in the case of Exxon Mobile Oil Co.
Sadr's Office quoted him responding on Saturday, June 23, to a question about Maliki asking US President Obama to intervene in Iraq's domestic affair; on whether it is making the case international with regards to northern Iraq's oil contracts, while he rejects, at the same time, other countries' involvement in Iraq's other crisis. He asked is not this making it intervention and making it international. / End.
