Baghdad (NINA) – Foreign Undersecretary, Labeeb Abbawi, reviewed with the Secretary General of the French Foreign Ministry the situation in the Middle East and means to work out crisis to safeguard the area.
A statement issued on Friday, June 22, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Abbawi met in Geneva with the French official discussing Iraqi Government's point of view with regards to the residents of Ashraf Camp residents and means to adopt in cooperation with the United Nations in accordance with international standards related to human rights.
The statement added that the two discussed also cooperation between the two ministries.
For his part, the French official asserted his country's desire to consolidate bilateral relations, through exchange of visits between the two country's senior officials.
The two touched on developing bilateral cultural relations through exchange of scholarships and training courses for Iraq's Foreign Ministry's staff. / End.
