Tikrit (NINA) – Three civilians wounded on Friday, June 22, when an improvised explosive device went off in downtown Samara, south of Tikrit.
Police source told NINA that an improvised explosive device went off near Qatool Hospital in Samara district, south of Tikrit, wounding three civilians.
The source added that security forces launched search campaign looking for those who carried the day's attacks in Samara.
Earlier in the day, Samara witnessed a suicide attack against a joint military and police checkpoint resulted in killing and wounding 13 members of the military and police, as well as Iranian visitors. And the Samara Operations Command was hit with three mortar shells, no casualties reported. / End.
