Baghdad (NINA) – Leader of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jafari, affirmed that efforts are continuing to bring points of view close together to overcome problems and challenges hindering the political process.
A statement issued on Thursday, June 7, by the National Alliance's Media Bureau quoted Jafari saying during his meeting with members of provincial councils from the Reform Trend, saying, "Constructive direct dialogue is the only way for all blocs and national forces to come out with useful solutions to the current crisis. National issues and Iraq's unity, safety, security and its stability must get the priority in the dialogues between political adversaries."
Jafari pointed out, "The necessity for joint efforts to finalize building the state's institutions and get rid of unemployment, corruption and to preserve Iraq's sovereignty, as well as consolidate its relations with its neighbors and other countries."
He called on the Trend's members to work hard in fighting corruption and poverty, as well as contribute to building the society and serve the public. / End.
