Baghdad (NINA) – Chairman of Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee, Humam Hamoudi, discussed with Australian Ambassador to Iraq, Ms Lyndall Sachs, the results of his recent visit to Australia and how to activate agreements reached during his visit to Canberra and other Australian cities.
A statement issued on Thursday, June 7, by Hamoudi's Office said that in the meeting discussion stressed the necessity to follow up results reached during the visit, by both embassies in Baghdad and Canberra, as well as the ministries concerned.
It added that Hamoudi addressed messages to the Cabinet's Secretariat, the ministries of Foreign Affairs, Agriculture, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Trade, Education and the Investment Body informing them the results of his visit to Australia to turn the results into facts.
It is worth mentioning that Chairman Homam Hamoudi visited Australia for six days on the invitation of both Australia's Parliament and the Foreign Ministry during which he discussed issues concerning cooperation in the fields of investment, agriculture, education and Technology; he also discussed during the visit the six agreements concluded on 2006 between Iraq and Australia. / End.
