Baghdad (NINA) - Minister of Planning and Development Cooperation, Ali Shukri, called upon Germany to urge its companies to sign projects that help the construction operation in Iraq.
The ministry said, in a statement today, that Shukri discussed with the German ambassador, Karl Berger, the possibility of rehabilitating the Ministry’s staff through the implementation of training courses in Germany by German specialized institutions.
He explained that Iraq is nowadays a fertile investment place that represented a good goal for all world companies from different sectors including water, wastewater, infrastructure and residential building sectors.
For his part, the German ambassador expressed his country's desire to develop bilateral relations with Iraq through investment opportunities in it. The two parties agreed to prepare a document that included bilateral cooperation specially training the Ministry’s staff. A German delegation will visit Iraq soon to prepare this document. /End/
