Baghdad (NINA) – Minister of Transportation, Hadi al-Amiri, said that talks underway now with Saudi Arabia to rehabilitate the oil pipeline, he also pointed out there are an intention to expand the capability of the oil pipeline through Turkey.
In a statement to NINA on Monday, May 28, Amiri said that Iraq's oil export is expected to reach by the end of current year the level of 3 million barrels a day, according to the Ministry of Oil.
Amiri added that there are talks at present with Lebanon to rehabilitate the oil pipeline through Syria and Lebanon; also there is an intention two increase the capacity of the oil pipeline through Turkey.
At present, Iraq exports it oil through its southern ports in Basra and through Turkey, in addition to using tankers to export oil through Jordan. / End.
