Baghdad (NINA) – President of Kurdistan region, Massoud Barazani, discussed with US Ambassador to Iraq, James Jeffrey, latest developments in Iraq's political process and obstacles hindering it.
The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) web site said, " Ambassador James Jeffrey, on the end of his tenure in Iraq affirmed to Barazani during their that his country supports the choice Iraqis make, within the frames of the Constitution and agreements concluded."
Jeffrey expressed thanks and gratitude to Barazani for the support and help he enjoyed during his work in Iraq, praising Kurdistan role in consolidating stability and construction.
The web site quoted Ambassador Jeffrey saying that Kurdistan under the leadership of Barazani has moved many steps ahead and achieved many gains and developments in all fields.
For his part, Barazani thanked Jeffrey for the efforts he exerted in Iraq, wishing him luck and success in his career and new post. / End.
