Baghdad (NINA) – Lawmaker for the Kurdish Taghyeer bloc, Azad Jalak, said that the National Alliance is confronted with two choices, either to carry radical changes in the course of the political process or to withdraw confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Malik.
In a statement to NINA on Saturday, May 26, Jalak said, "The National Alliance has to consider in its meeting the demands made by the Erbil and Najaf meetings with regards to political reforms, because it is confronted by either reforms or withdraw confidence from Maliki, and nominate a replacement."
He added that all political forces have to realize that national concurrence is the best mean to end current political crisis, and this comes through direct negotiations away from making axis or fronts that do not serve anyone.
A meeting is underway at the residence of the National Alliance's leader, Ibrahim al-Jafari, attendance of the Alliance's Leader, Ibrahim al-Jafari, and Prime Minister, Nuri al-Maliki.
Among the issues are being discussed is withdrawing confidence from Prime Minister Nuri al-Malik, that some political blocs are calling for, in addition to outstanding issues. / End.
