Nasiriya (NINA) - The Antiquities Department of Thi Qar Province announced the discovery 40 new archeological sites in different parts of the province.
Director of the department, Amer Al Zubaidi, said to NINA correspondent: “excavation the cadres discovered 40 archeological sites in a number of areas of the province after exploration operations,” confirming that those sites were located by GPS.
The city of Nasiriya comprises more than one thousand archaeological sites in various areas that only 5% of them were excavated so far. /End/
