Wasit police arrests 247 suspect during campaign this week

Kut (NINA) – Wasit police arrested during a campaign conducted this week 247 suspects under different charges, including murder.

General Hussein Abdul Hadi, chief of Wasit police told NINA correspondent that “the police and as part of enforcing law arrest 247 suspects; 12 of them charged with premeditated murder, a woman among them, in several parts of the province.”

He added that the campaign also led to the arrest of 154 suspects under different charges including car theft, fights, traffic and economic violations, in addition to the arrest of 81 others for charges like drug dealing. /End/
