Shahristani discusses with the Brazilian envoy, means to boost ties

Baghdad (NINA) – Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Hussein Al Shahristani, discussed with the Brazilian envoy and its representative in the Middle East, Milantonio Cezario, means to boost political and economic ties especially in energy domain.

Shahristani discussed during the meeting, attended by Brazilian ambassador to Iraq, Iraq current and future role in energy domain, expressing Iraq’s readiness to provide Iraq with Brazil with crude oil.

He asked the Brazilian companies to get to the Iraqi markets, reviewing a number of investment opportunities in a number of domains, first of which is energy, transport, ports, and housing.

For his part, the Brazilian envoy expressed his country’s companies desire to work in Iraq to enhance bilateral cooperation. /End/
