Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns burning the Turkish flag in front of the Turkish Consulate in Basra

Baghdad (NINA) – Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned burning of the Turkish flag by some demonstrators in front of the Turkish Consulate in Basra.

The ministry said in a statement today "at the time we assert the freedom of expression in accordance to the law, we condemn the burning of the Turkish flag by some demonstrators and regard it as uncivilized act that does not suit Iraq, and it also harms the relations between the neighboring countries."

The ministry referred that "groups of people demonstrated in front of the Turkish Consulate in Basra to express their stances towards the Turkish policies." /End/
