Baquba (NINA) – Security commands in Diyala adopted intense security procedures as precautions lest armed attacks take place targeting the local councils in Diyala.
Jamal Shakir, media advisor of the Diyala Provincial Council told NINA correspondent "the security service acquired intelligence referring to schemes of armed groups affiliated from Qaeda to carry out armed attacks against the local councils of Baquba and the suburbs."
He added "the security services started to alert all military units to protect the local councils and foil the Qaeda attempts targeting the stability of the province." /End/
