Baghdad (NINA) – The Ministry of Transport announced the opening on Monday, Apr. 30, the Baghdad-Bombay air route.
The Ministry's Advisor, Kareem al-Nuri, said that the plane leaves Baghdad International Airport toward Najaf Airport, where an official ceremony takes place to inaugurate the route.
He added that the airliner will then leave Najaf for Bombay declaring officially starting the route, with two flights a week.
A delegation from the Ministry consisting of it's media advisor and the Iraqi Airways' Deputy Manager, in addition to other officials are aboard the first flight bound for Bombay.
Earlier, al-Nuri said that the line will serve religious visitors and Iraqis' going to India for medical treatment. / End.
