Baghdad (NINA) - FIFA decided to fine the Iraqi Football Association 400.000 Euros for the former Iraqi football team coach, the Norwegian Olsen and his assistant.
That was the decision of the lawsuit filed by Olsen against the Iraqi Football Association because of his expulsion from the task of training the national team in World Cup 2010 qualifications without legal justification. The fine includes 300.000 Euros for Olsen and 100.000 Euros for his assistant Otto.
Olsen, 67 years, was assigned to coach of the Iraqi National Football team as a successor to the Brazilian Viera. Olsen was fired after leading one match against the Chinese team which ended with a draw, then, he was dismissed from his job after 5 months from contracting with him. /End/
