Baghdad (NINA) – Coach of the Iraqi national football team, Zico, arrived in the Qatari capital Doha this afternoon, accompanied by his translator to watch the Olympic team match against Japan today and the match against UAE next Sunday.
Coach of the Olympic team, Radhi Shnaishal, said that "the presence of Zico is a positive step to follow up both matches of the Olympic team," noting that "the need for a change in the combination of the national team made Zico attend these matches and that is not detracting the players who gave great services for the team in the past period, but, the status quo confirms that the team needs new faces," stressing that "ten players, or perhaps more, will be on Zico’s notebook in preparation for inclusion in the national team in the forthcoming elections.” /End/
