Ramadi (NINA) – Iraqi Journalists Union’s Branch in Anbar said, “A joint Iraqi-American force raided on Tuesday, May 18, the home of a journalist in Falluja.”
In a phone call with NINA, Head of the Union’s Branch in Anbar, Ahmed al-Rashid, said, ”The joint force raided the house of Journalist Mohammed Jaleel, who is a photographer of German News Agency in Iraq, in Andalus neighbourhood, in central Falluja, assaulting him, seizing his computer and cameras as well as causing damages to his house, without giving reason.”
Rashid called on officials in Falluja and Anbar’s Provincial Council to immediately interfere and open an investigation into the incident that has been repeated against other journalists in the province. / End.
