Baghdad (NINA) -The Ministry of Water Resources denied the collapse of Mandali dam or any other dams as a result of the rains in the nearby areas.
In a statement by the MWR cited "What was mentioned by the media outlets over the collapse of Mandali dam or al-Atheam dam is groundless, as this dam was constructed according to the national designs and standards."
"Large quantities of water resulted from the rain in the Iranian areas that lie next to this dam have passed through it," the statement added, noting that ,"All the dams in Iraq including Diyala's dams are in very good condition and well maintained by the technical crew and engineers of the MWR."
Some Media outlets have mentioned that Wadi Haran dam in Mandali district was collapsed and this leads to surround many nearby towns by water. /End/
