Baquba (NINA) – The Iraqi High Electoral Commission (IHEC) in Diyala province assigned 348 polling centers in preparation for the up coming general election.
The Director of IHEC office in Diyala, Amer Al Yahya, told NINA on Wednesday, Feb. 3, "Of the total number of polling centers, 37 assigned for special voting, 17 for prisons and detentions inmates and 3 for the sick residing in hospitals."
He pointed out that the Commission has assigned 66 polling centers for the registered dislodged and 7 others for non registered dislodged.
It is note worthy that there are 274 nominees representing 22 political entities are competing for parliamentary 13 seats assigned to Diyala province in the up coming general election. / End.
