Najaf (NINA) – During the last 48 hours, Najaf Airport witnessed 41 flights carrying over 6 thousand visitors coming to participate in the Arba'een procession.
In a statement to the press, the Airport's Director, Sadiq al-Labban, said, "Most travelers are from the Gulf, Syria, Lebanon and Iran."
He added, air line companies who flew their planes into the Airport are the Iraqi Airways, Gulf Airways, Sham Wings, Lebanon Wings, the Kuwaiti Graven Lines and the UAE Jupiter Air Lines."
Source at the Ministry of Transportation, refused to be identified, said that the Minister of Transportation gave approval for night flight to and from Najaf Airport. / End.
